Replacement of 2 complete engine blocks with new crankshafts and reassembly of the two 10,400 HP Pielstick engines on board the vessel “Isla de Botafoc” while afloat in Gandia.
To carry out the repair, an opening had to be cut into the side of the vessel to allow the engines to be removed.
