CRISTÓBAL COLÓN DE IBIZA: MAIN ENGINE OVERHAUL

The cylinder heads, pistons, connecting rods and cylinder liners of the Deutz D500 main engine of the vessel Cristóbal Colón de Ibiza are completely dismantled for inspection, together with auxiliary components such as pumps, coolers and injectors.

Once all the components have been transferred to our workshops, the cylinder heads are cleaned, hydraulically tested and reassembled with new components; the connecting rods, gudgeon pins and bushes are cleaned and inspected; the cylinder liners are cleaned, measured and honed to restore their geometry; the injection pumps and injectors are serviced and repaired; and all dismantled components are reconditioned and prepared. Once the work has been completed, all components are transported back to the vessel and reassembled on board.
